We’re making important investments to strengthen and modernise our electricity network. This includes building new substations, installing new powerlines and replacing older equipment. Sussex Inlet zone substation
This upgrade will deliver affordable, safe and reliable power, while supporting future growth in the Shoalhaven area.
South Leppington zone substation
Construction is underway on a permanent zone substation and underground power line, to link with the future Catherine Field substation.
South Erskine Park substation
A new zone substation is being built within the Oakdale West Estate, to support growing energy needs.

The construction of a new substation has been proposed to support energy needs along Luddenham Road.
Berrima Junction zone substation
This permanent new substation will help to strengthen electricity supply in the Berrima area.
Grantham Farm zone Substation
Critical infrastructure is being built to supply power to growing residential and commercial developments in Riverstone.
Menangle Park zone substation
This new zone substation has been planned to provide safe, affordable and reliable power to the greater Macarthur growth area.
Calderwood mobile substation
A new mobile substation in the Calderwood Urban Development Precinct is being established to help maintain reliable electricity supply.
Catherine Park mobile substationÂ
The installation of this mobile substation will support the Catherine Park area’s electricity needs.
Orchard Hills to Bringelly transmission line
A 22km underground transmission feeder has been proposed to strengthen electricity supply across Bringelly, Luddenham, Badgerys Creek and Orchard Hills.
Nepean to Menangle feeder
Upgrading this existing transmission line will help to meet future electricity demand in the region.
Wetherill Park data centres
This proposal aims to deliver a secure, reliable underground electricity supply, for new data centre infrastructure in Western Sydney.
Feeder 940 foundations
The foundations of 25 transmission towers along Feeder 940, will be refurbished to improve safety and stability.
Feeder 9L5 (stage 1)
Stage 1 of this project will upgrade Feeder 9L5 to improve network capacity and reliability.
Access tracks
Conducting regular track inspections to support ongoing maintenance and safe access to electricity infrastructure.
Prospect Reservoir telecommunications tower
Plans are in place to install a telecommunications tower with minor site works. No trees will be removed as part of this project.
Picnic Island
Older power poles at Picnic Island will be replaced to maintain safety and dependable electricity supply.
